Remote working refers to work undertaken away from the employer’s typical workplace. This can include both a chosen domestic space, or a remote working hub.
Regardless of whether it is within the normal working environment, or a remote location, the health and safety of employees still rests with the employers. It is the responsibility of the employer to provide everyone within their organisation with a safe working environment, and in doing so, must assess possible risks and ensure full safeguarding of employees.
